While the druid is a "full" caster, getting a 3 spells lots per level through 9th level and a single 10th level spell slot, feat support for casting is sparse and weirdly distributed. There are not a lot of great feats at low - mid level to promote spell casting. The first really good spellcasting feat comes at 10th level, Overwhelming Energy.
