The new Spectrum router is a dual router but self adjusts between 2.4 gHz and 5 gHz. 5gHz is faster but has a short range. 2.4 gHz is slower but has a longer range. So all I needed to do was first connect my ECHO Dot; apparently it wasn’t affected by the 5 gHz and was able to connect without issue to the router.As for speeds, most devices can't even run at that speed. For a speed test, you have to ensure that everything is off the network except the testing device. If you're testing it over wifi make sure you're close. You will want to research what wifi speeds your device itself supports.
